While working in the Northernmost radio station in the 48 United States, the ones touching each-other, I was surprised one morning when a very tall, lanky cowboy came into my studio in Aroostook County, Maine and said he had just made a record. He wondered if I would play it. He had a trunk-full of nearly home-made 45s and was planning to drive all the way from my station, WSJR in Madawaska, some 500 miles all the way down to Boston - and ask every dj at every station to play the song. As you'll see if you watch my video explanation, the unknown man in Mad-Town became a legend by the time he hit Bean-town.
