Though I think this applies mostly to bureaucrats/politicians, I might be a little guilty, and perhaps you too.
It seems most noticeable these days in our politicians and it comes from both sides of the aisle - the Red and the Blue.
It reminds me of when we were kids. Whenever there was a problem in our house my stock
answer to Mom was....
"I didn't do it!"
Then after my brother and sister also chimed in with "I didn't do it!", Mom said...
"Oh I guess nobody did it!"
But, with our politicians it seems like they don't engage in the "I didn't do it" game as much as they play the "Blame Game".
When anything goes wrong they like to blame the media, or the opposite political party. As I think about it, they actually play both games as once.
"I didn't do it" and "It's the other guy's fault, not mine."
So that's it for me in this little post on Adventures in Type and Space....and if you didn't like it, don't blame me. It's not my fault. I didn't do it!
